Commissioning Info

Dalton is open for commissions/consortiums of any size!

Commissioning Rates:

  • 1-3 instruments: $100/minute per instrument (for example, a 6 minute piece for solo instrument would cost $600)

  • 4-6 instruments: $75/minute per instrument (a 6 minute piece for wind quintet would cost $2,250)

  • 7-10 instruments: $50/minute per instrument (a 6 minute piece for an octet would cost $2,400)

  • 11 or more instruments: $25/minute per instrument (a 6 minute piece for a 40 piece wind ensemble would cost $6,000)

If you require a physical set of score & parts, there is an extra 5% fee (the hypothetical wind quintet piece would cost $2362.50 if a physical score and set of parts are required). There is no fee for digital score & parts.
